Learning is when I discover something that I did not know or when I find out how to do something new.
How do I understand learning to occur?
I think that learning can occur in many different forms. To learn one must have a question or a need to be solved. You can learn by being taught by someone or you can learn by doing research and discovery by yourself. I find that the very best way to learn is by preparing to teach what I have learned to a class.
Reflecting on learning in the 21st century
I think that learning in the 21st century COULD be a lot different than what we do today. I think that I teach the same way my Dad taught and most likely the same way he was taught. Change takes time and money. It would be great if we all had laptops and could collaborate with the worlds. Who is going to pay for this? Do we get rid of the TA's or the LST teachers? Do we loose daily PE?
